Looks good slabin. Mine has a seat and a lid. Got it at Sportsman's Warehouse when they closed.
By what I've seen in pictures and reading online the tank has 2 sections. The first tank takes waste in. The pump is in this section. The bubbles gets things rolling and the action helps break any matter down. Some of the waste settles to the bottom. The waste water then enters the second section were the matter settles and water drains off.
My pump locked up. When? Could have been last year. Average 3 to 24 months. You won't know it until it clogs or you have an alarm on the pump. The solids don't get broke down and clog the spillway to the second tank.
I looked today. The water at the end of the drain pipe is at a drip. The clean out cap is off, water is about 4" from the top. I removed the vent cap. The water is about 3 ft down. That tells me the spillway is clogged.
On the modern systems like Rock and I have you don't have a internal pump. Ours is a high volume low pressure dual action air compressor. Made just like a aquariums air pump on steroids. They are mounted externally with a PVC line running to bottom of first tank. They have a built in alarm that goes off if it quits or looses air pressure. Your main problem is its way overdue to be pumped out. Then I would bite the bullet and get the new style air pump. Septic solutions carries sever brands and sizes. Mine went 7 years before I had to rebuild at a cost of about 55.00.

I don't even have a pump on mine any more and it works just like a septic tank, just needs to be pumped out every 3 or 4 years.
I like my septic tank and field line system.....I add bacteria once a month....been using it 39 years now.....had it pumped out one time and that was on the 37 th year.

I was wrong, wrong, wrong. Justin from A-1 Septic Tanks corrected me.
I have a 1500 gallon 3 section tank. Not knowing how long the pump has been down caused the problem. The clog was in the tank at the entrance from the house and building, section 1. My 8 ft of hose was about 1/3 of what was needed. Section 1 gets most of the air from the pump to break down most anything that gets in there. It spillways into section 2 through a piece of pvc. Section 2 gets some of the air to break up matter. There is a return pipe to section 1. The air pipe kinda picks it up or sucks it from section 2. Section 3 is about the same as section 2. Mostly water in this section. It has a return pipe to section 2 which returns to section 1.
Justin said I can't use chlorine tables in this system unless I want to see him next year.. I need to find a gallon of manure with active worms to flush.
My time and money spent today is 3 months rent. Pump will be here tomorrow, add another 2 months rent.

The pump was delivered at 7:35 pm yesterday, to late to get started. The air pipe in the tank is 1/2" ID sch 40 pvc, it sticks up about 2" from the cover. The port on the pump is 1/2" OD and is at the bottom front. I'll have to plumb some fittings to go up, over and down to connect them. Got to collect material to build a little shed over it so it doesn't get wet. Got plenty of gal. sheet metal, just got to get started.
Cane, mine came with a piece of plastic like cutting board for pump to sit on, then it has a arched cover over it made of heavy plastic like those big truck mud flaps. It clears both sides and the top about 2 inches. Open on both ends. Got to have plenty of air circulation because they get pretty warm when running. They are pretty waterproof since they are designed to be installed outside.
