    Actually both units are fused individualy with a 3 amp fuse. One unit is being powered from terminal directly from battery the 10 amp fuse that was blowing feeds a terminal block that then feeds the other finder and obviously the lighter. Both units are protected with 3 amp fuse. If I had done the wiring myself from start I would've and probably will go directly to battery. Thanks for advice I appreciate it..

    What he said and connect it to the starting battery and not the TM one.

    Well took boat out tonight ran it thru it's paces no issues at all so I think I've got it fixed. Thanks for all your helpful thoughts

    You have a short or broken wire somewhere!! Just rewire it. Straight to battery. Make sure fuse box is clean and works.
