    Yep the battery number without the N wont work on mine. Have to have the one with the N

    Agree......If its the new style remote it MUST have the "N"......... CR2450N should be the right one.

    if its a terrova hook up the pedal and see if it works
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

    It isn't the remote anyways. The remote isn't communicating with the trolling motor. The remotes all cut off when this happens, usually because the TM isn't on, or deployed depending on which TM you have.

    Try to relearn your remote to the TM. If the frequencies are different, the remote can't FIND the TM so the remote goes back to sleep mode really quick.

    If relearning doesn't work, the Infra Red circuit or RF circuit might be bad. Not sure if it works on infra red or radio frequency.
