Sometimes the contacts don't make good connection in the remote. You can bend them a little and help it. I had to put a penny on top mine to make it work the other day.

OK.....had the same problem at Washington this year. Tried everything. Eventually called Grizzly Jig to ask those boys, and he suggested to check the battery powering the TM. Come to find out, my partner, who is a certified electrician and knows everything about everything bout electricity, EXCEPT that to get juice out of a battery you need to CHARGE IT!!!! Switched over to the starter motor and fished the rest of the day. Jus sayin....... IF, if it turns out that yours is the same issue, let me know, so I can tell him he's not the only duffus out there!!

    Good luck Pard......

Well, then my fishin buddy is the only idiot of his type out there....Sure wish it was something as simple as that for ya. I'd do the obvious...check all connections, wires for exposed areas, etc. I'm sure you've done all that. Guarantee you about 90% it's something real simple. Think I'd STILL put a meter directly to the TM battery. Won't take but a minute and absolutely rules that out. Good luck Pard.

I don't recall the number on the battery, but there are two versions of the same battery. One has the letter "N" on it. One of these is just a tad bit thicker. May solve your problem.

I have had mine do that when I wasn't getting a good GPS signal. Check depth finder when it does that to see if GPS is good. Also I have given mine a little tap on the side on rod holder to get it going. Something not making good contact.

I agree, I have to tap my remote on something every now and then to get it to stay on.

Had a similar problem and got a new battery. I made sure I had the CR2450N, works now. Hope yours is that simple.
