    So there are no issues with interference when using the same frequency for both 2d and imaging from the same transducer, or would you use 2d or DI only when using 455 for conventional sonar?

    I've read no reports of interference between the 455kHz 2d frequency and the 455kHz DI frequency ...

    And these DI units have been on the market since early 2011 ...

    Just when I think I was happy with my current setup.... Now the question is TM puck ducer or heading sensor for the bow.

    I have both of them the 999 on the console and the helix 9 on the TM. If I had to chose between the two I would recommend the helix9 here is a picture of the both. The 999 is closer to the camera

    The AS GPS HS antenna is a GPS antenna that also has a magnetic compass inside ...

    This gives the unit information on which way the boat is pointing at all times by measuring the offset from Magnetic North ...

    Basically ...the donut is no more and the boat icon stays a boat icon at all times ...and the boat icon is pointing (on the chart) the way the boat is actually pointing on the water ...

    It sure makes it easier to know which way from the boat that Waypoints are at slow speeds ...
