There is benefit to either TM puck ...

*XTM 9 Di 25 T has 455kHz 16°/200kHz 28° 2d cone shaped beams = narrower cones for better target separation ... especially separating fish from bottom detail ...

    *XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T has 200kHz 20°/83kHz 60° 2d cone shaped beams = wider cones for more coverage area ...

The DI is identical in all 3 HB dedicated DI xducers ...

So in the first narrow beam version, is 455mhz a 2d option in all DI units? I thought 455 was imaging only.

The dedicated HB DI units do have unusual 2d frequencies (200kHz/455kHz) ...

This follows the normal Sonar tendencies that higher frequencies give more detail/target separation ...

I assume this is why HB decided to use the 455kHz 2d frequency in the DI units ...target separation ...
