My next service truck will be a Dodge, say what you will, but a Cummins diesel is hard to beat!!
I drive a 2016 f450 6.7. That engine is a hoss. Like you said about the early turbos I've also read the early models have glow plugs that shatter, not good.

I will agree with the Cummins diesel. It's the only pickup diesel that's never had a recall. On another subject, I have a real problem with aluminum trucks

Got the first goat I've ever had in my life because of issues with both a couple of years ago. It's had a rough life daily here and hasn't been to the shop yet. Cummings. 132,000 mi so far. Has surprised me to tell it straight.

When I was still working we ran those B series cummins in our straight trucks and small single axle delivery tractors. Best small diesel out there. Nothing rougher than stop and go delivery all day every day with every type of non driver you can find. Only problem we ever had on the newer ones in 2010 and 2011 was the EGR valves and they got that straightend out pretty quick. Easy 500,000 mile engine if taken care of. My brother in-law has one with over 200,000 never been to shop. His 7 fords live in the shop.
