    Is this effective on lakes with just blacks? Seems like all the shows and pictures involve targeting whites.

    It's seems to work better on whites but last year was fishing some lakes that have predominantly blacks and found they like natural looking baits and plain white
    Usually you have to be closer to cover and slower speeds

    We catch some blacks sometimes but its mainly whites.....the blacks tend to spend their summer in the shade....stumps...logs....blowdowns etc. The whites tend to stay in the open water usually suspended or following the shad or other b aitfish.
