Default Need Green Tomato Pickle Recipe

Do any of you have a favorite recipe for green tomato pickles? I love those things with fried fish and would like to be able to make my own.

We make em with 1/2 gallon water and 1/2 gallon apple cider vinegar and a tbs. mixed pickling spice. Bring mixture to boil, simmer for a while until the spices are really fragrant. Pack hot jars with tomatoes, add a pinch of salt and a hot pepper if you like. Process jars normally.

Thanks, shadboy. I think I will try the bread and butter pickling spices with a little extra pepper, or just add some cayenne pepper pods to the mix.
