    Default Cranked up afew good ones............


    I don't get in a rush to get onto the water early. Started about 1000. That's 10AM for you wannabe sailors. I cranked for about 4 hours and only got 5 fish, but, the were big mamma's. I also got catfish and the tangled mess associated.

    All black females still full of eggs. The eggs in two of the fish had lost its bright yellow color. The remainder had the bright yellow color eggs, but I didn't know this until I filleted the fish.

    Strange year for spawn.

    Went to Douglas for the first time in about 18 years this past Sunday. I just recently got back into fishing. We trolled spider-rigging and some long-lining for about 7 hours.

    Ended up with 8 keepers and around 7-8 that were 0.5 inches under.

    Thanks for the report. Most sporadic spawn I've ever seen? Oh well, figuring them out is half the fun.

    Yep. I just hung up on blacks cause west sandy is full of them (dinks). Time lapsed and I couldn't edit. Besides, I don't care anyhow cause someone is always ready to correct me.

    I cleaned 5 fish from this cooler.

    Just some of my 'sperience; the blacks will hit cranks but in the areas where both whites and blacks are mixed my bag was ALWAYS mostly whites. Aggressive little suckers when it comes to cranks. Good trip regardless.
