Default Toledo Bend South - 5-21-16 report

I spend every Memorial Day weekend at the state park. Went down today to scout around. Worst trip there ever. There is no grass at all on any of my useful spots. Not one bite that we could call a crappie. No bream pecking out in the deep water. Left at noon confused, frustrated and depressed. Then I had a flat on the trailer. Oh joy.

No idea what I'll do next week. Maybe look for Kentuckies.

Bummer. Did you try around Bass Haven Resort around the corner from there? Couple of years ago there was serious fish in there when I went.

Sorry to hear about that. All of us have one of those trips from time to time. Better luck next week.

Maybe the fish didn't want to play, but still better then setting at home. Well without the flat anyway.

I always appreciate your reports but it just didn't seem right to hit the "Like" button....trailer flats are no fun....especially when you don't have the right jack or wrench to fix it.....like me....here is hoping that your "bad luck" has run out.......

Not just a flat either. Blowout so bad it grabbed the fender. I had to beat the fender back with a tire iron just to get the spare on.

Ouch.....mine was a blowout also before daylight....Interstate in a construction zone.....very narrow lanes....no where to pull over....tire smoking like crazy....
