From the map it looks like I could turn right at the end of Mills Ave and then go catch LA 347 all the way to Henderson McDonalds.

Hwy 94 is correct like Bruce said. Instead of a left at the "T" on Rees St., I take a right and go through Breaux Bridge. Then onto the Henderson Hwy into Henderson (Hwy. 347). The way I have always done it. Not in a big hurry, and it's is more peaceful.

Probably should have said that next time I go to Henderson I'll go that way. I'm not done with Miami yet. Got some learning to do there as the water goes down.

Mermentau, I used to fish Miami corp. all the time. Had a camp in Grand Chenier before hurricane rita took it. I would fish east of the landing going toward white lake. Anywhere I could find good water without to much salt. When I was down there they used to try to keep it 6 ppm to keep the weeds down I'm going with a buddy of mine next Saturday because I no longer have a boat with 25hp. If you go again let me know if you find any good water Thanks
