    Couldn't catch a perch even. Little gar everywhere and the water is still real high. Breezy is an understatement.

    There is more territory there than I'll ever be able to fish so I got more time to explore. On the way back I stopped in Kaplan and got a lot of good information from someone experienced with that area. I've always found that bad trips teach something too.

    Go down the Breaux Bridge hwy. out of Lafayette, that's what I do.

    I use that road a lot going to Didi's sister in Lafayette....I go Hwy 94 (Mills Hwy) to Rees St.in Breaux Bridge, hang a left and you are one mile from I10...then 5 miles to the basin bridge...
