    Default Rockport Rattlers?

Has anyone tried these jig heads? I saw that bobby garland sells some rattles? Are they worth trying? I also saw that Outlaw jig head with three hooks that rockport makes.. Just one more thing that we aren't able to use in Kansas.. I am not sure why I would ever want to use it but, I wouldn't mind throwing a Alabama rig with more than two hooks every once in a while.

They make them with one hook also. I have used them with much success. Started tying my own and adding rattles into them. Haven't been out fished yet by anybody in the boat. (It will happen). The added noise seems to help in dirty water, slow days. Just don't like the price of $5 for 3 jig heads when I might lose that any the first hour.

Junk....dont waste your money. Just a gimmick. Only guys that use them get them for free. My partner at the Grenada crappie masters tournament was using them and i outfished him well over 20 to 1. We single poled cypress and i just used regular lead heads made and painted by joey wall. Won the youth adult without em in pure mud for water. Ive tried rattles before and felt like i got less bites.

As you can see we all have our different preferences. I strongly believe it's a lot about having confidence in what your fishing. We all have are go to colors that works well for us when nothing else is. We all have a different type of presentation when we jig also. Just as each lake has a personality and different days require different approaches. Find what works for you and give it a shot. I don't like the cost of them so I don't use them. Kinda like crappie nibbles. Some people swear by them others don't think they help. Some days it's needed other days they seem to hurt the best part about fishing compared to most sports is there is no one way to do it. I love fishing with different people to just see what other ways there might be that I have never tried. Some I use and some I don't. No right or wrong way. If there was anything that guarantees you catch fish you probably couldn't afford it. That's why the call it fishing NOT catching.

I use the bg rattles in dirty water. I really think they help. I will flick the jig just a little bit to make it rattle and bam.

I'm gonna give the Bobby garland rattles a try.
