Caught some yesterday and today
Dad and I went yesterday and got out there around 10am and fished until 430pm. I'd say we caught around 50 but only had 18 keepers. The action was fast and furious with a lot caught under floats but I did catch some casting a panfish assassin. All fish caught under float were caught on kiptail jigs and itty bitty Bobby Garlands. I had to get back home pretty quick and didn't get to snap a pic. All fish were males and some were in the 14" range.
Today we got out there at 8am and we stopped at 4pm. Today we ended up with 22 keepers (I got my limit). All fish today were caught under a float around 6ft deep. We caught some shorts today but the keepers were nice thick fish with a lot of 12 to 13 inch fish with some 14s mixed in. Like yesterday every single fish was a male. I'd say it will be my last trip
out there since we are going to get rain 3 days in a row before next weekend and we barely have anywhere to stand and fish now... Lol. The walk out with 15 crappie is brutal its around a mile and a half walk down in there but I like fishing there. Anyways here is a pic from today and a sink pic.

Oh there are boats up there... On Saturday there were 7 boats but they didn't catch all that many... I think most of them were using minnows too... Sometimes they come in close and toss where we are catching them but most of the time they anchor on the other side (shallow water). Dad went yesterday and he fished for 4 hrs no crappie so I guess they have moved on up. I'll try to locate them on my next day off. We are fishing where the lake backs up to two rivers that come together... One of them is fed from trout streams and it is colder so we fish the back up on the warmer river
