Any pics? Do you run the fishing line you're trolling with through the line between the eyelets? I'm curious

Alright, help me understand this concept. To increase your bite to fish ratio you have added a plastic bead to your fishing line to ad an additional sense into detecting your bites. So you have feel, sight and now hearing involved in detecting a bite. Assume this bead is kept in place on the line by bobber stoppers?

I do mine like this, couldn't be any simpler. Put a bead between the 2nd and 3rd eye on your main line. I've been doing it about 2 weeks now and it's made a big difference

You understand the "concept" & reasoning correctly .... but, NO bobber stops are necessary

In fact, a bobber stop would mess up the whole thing !! The bead isn't going anywhere, since it's confined by the guides it's between, so there's no need for anything else to keep it in place. You just have to be sure and use a large enough bead, so that it won't go through the guides or stick inside them ... yet not so big that they are always in contact with the rod blank when your lines are deployed.

I did too, until I got these new hearing aids. Works great now. A bag of Pony Beads that have the large hole in them from WM will do yours and all your friends poles using two per pole. I also put mine starting at the tip. I learned this tip from my friend ScottV.

line is thru both beads and then tie another short piece to the end eye and thru the beads and to the second eye.

There ya go the sound is heard easier than you think. It vibrates up the rod and if I can hear it with my hearing loss anyone should be able to detect it.

Well, when it comes to buying beads, try Hobby Lobby or Michaels. They have every color and size hole you want a heck of a lot cheaper than WM or any fishing store. Does anyone use these beads while long lining or trolling cranks?

Yes, they are on all my trolling rods. It doesn't seem quite as effective pulling cranks as it is when spider rigging.
