    Default Another Weekend Upon Us!!

Looks like the wind will still be blowing throughout the weekend but hopefully you'll get some fishing in around all the wind, be it early morning or nighttime fishing. So...................who's fishing and where? Here's a forecast for York, SC.

I'm going up Saturday morning. Got one more huge bamboo bucket to sink. I'll do it very early, under the cover of darkness, since it'll be on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to next Wed, Thur, and Friday as I am taking off to fish all three!

I'm either striper fishing on the river Saturday with a buddy or striper fishing on Murray Saturday.

I'm heading to Wateree before the rooster crows in the morning and I'll probably be back over there Saturday for the Great Falls Shrine Tourney. Wish the wind would lay a bit but I'm ready to see a rod tip go down! Or feel a thump...

Either gonna hit Murray tomorrow or maybe Wateree, depending on what my partner wants to do. Need to get back on Wateree for some pre-fishing before the tourney at the end of the month. 10-12 mph winds ain't too bad compared to the last 2 weekends. Prolly go out again Sunday somewhere...maybe take the girls and wife out to Murray after lunch.

I have a wedding to go to Saturday but I will probably fish next week some. Advantages of now being retired! Fishing during the week will spoil you with the reduced boat traffic. What is everyone's opinion as to where the spawn stands at Clarks Hill? I fished a little over a week ago and caught some females that were close to the bank and still had eggs but the eggs were smaller and not as yellow as what I had been seeing. I take this as at least some have already laid the bulk of their eggs. With the weather having been cool, I am not sure just where they stand. I suspect more will still spawn when the weather warms up starting this weekend and with a full moon coming.

With next week's forecast of every day being in the 80's I anticipate some fantastic fishing reports. Like you said...I believe alot of the fish have been to the banks atleast once but still have some eggs that needs to mature some so they can lay out. I also think some fish have completely layed out already but the fish are hungry. When the water temps start rising I think (hope) it will put the fish in a feeding frenzy. I gotta work beginning tomorrow thru Wednesday and then I plan on hitting the water to see what theyre doing. Hopefully there will be some reports before I make any. Good luck this weekend fellas.
