Made it out today and boy were they hungry, ended up with 20 keepers and probably caught 50 fish if ya counted the bass, whites, and cats. My best bud 'Chief' sat right beside me on the deck and kept a close eye on the rod tips. All 7.5' deep in 11-12fow

Awesome dog! I bet he snatches up some ducks too! Looks like he is waiting on the BOOM!

He is a duck retrieving machine D10, I thought it was neat today after a few fish he started watching the rod tips waiting for a fish to come up just like he looks the direction a gun is pointing.

Chief is a beauty. I have a twelve year old chocolate that has arthritis and hip dysplasia. My Max is a good old boy that is retired to being a house pet. Congratulations on a great day fishing. You caught some goodones.

Love the pictures. I had a black lab, no papers, but was a bird getting machine. To get her to watch which direction the gun barrel was pointing, I would make her sit then tie a piece of baloney on the end of the barrel and move it around. Primitive, but it worked. When dove hunting, I would sit her watching behind me. She would always let me know if a bird was coming. Funny thing, she could never distinguish if it was a Robin or a Blackbird, or a dove, but alerted on all birds.

    Looks like a fun time.

Good looking lab! I took mine the other day and I ended up somehow hooking a gar and when it jumped about three foot in the air and spit the jig he thought it would be fun to jump out and try to catch it mid air. He's steady on the duck stand but his spider rigging patience is low lol!
