Crappie help at Jordan lake
Hello All,
Hope I'm not to late for the spring Crappie! I have only fished a few times for Crappie but quickly learned how much I like them. I Usually go at nights and anchor near theEbeneezer bridge just outside the channel. It's usually the luck of the draw but I can usually catch enough for a meal.
I'm headed out this week hopefully and would like any tips that may help me bring home a few. I normally nights but when I troll I slow troll live minnows, nothing fancy just four poles out trolling slow around the edges.
Do you guys use jig heads with live minnows? Is it just the jig head are do you leave the rubber tail on it also? Don't mean to sound stupid it's just I'd like to try and do it correct. I know you can't give away your secret spots but can anyone point me in a good direction (What about the tree stumps down below Ebenezer bridge)? water depth, what about the water temps?
Thanks for all your help and I'll sure post some pics if I have any luck
Regards
Whitney

They must be biting good if nobody answers u I don't fish Jordan but a couple times a year. I fish High Rock most of the time they have pulled off the banks as of last week there. Right now if ur trolling I would start fairly deep and work my way shallow. I found the quickest way to find the right depth is with small crankbaits set at different depths trolled around .8 to 1.3 MPH
