Default Everyone for miles around was at the Bone today

no place at Stowe Creek, Jakes and the old 33 road were overflowing , then Lesters too was past overflowing with trailer rigs. So off to the State park we went ---- this time the wife, Delma was with me. I almost caught one Crappie that was close to two Pounds. the Line got behind the spool and was just short of the boat when it ran under the Boat The line came untied brom the Jig, It came up with the twisted Knarl where it pulled loose. I Caught one white Crappie in the Channel in 23 ft of water. We then found a narrow Old Creek channel that dropped from 8 to 18 feet instantly The wife caught a nice Crappie and a Catfish about 3 Pounds in it and I missed six that barely jiggled the cork then pulled it sideways about a foot before the cork went under. twice I came up with the Head of the Minnow -- then I connected with what felt Like a Cat. But I only Fed it a minnow. As we were getting the Truck Delma got to see a Man release a Bass he Caught she said looked like 8 or 9 Pounds. Her Favorite Fish is Bass and try she has but the Bone has never Given her one --- with 200 boats out there someone needs to say how they did. FRom the Fish we have got the last few trips they are Post Spawn

Spring Bayou was loaded today........... Where are all these folks coming from? I guess all the flood waters have everyone concentrated on waters that are fishable? Grand Lake launch 12 boat trailers at launch and two coming to launch, so went to Boggy Bayou launch and over 40 trailers there and two launching, so went down to Little River Road launch and only four there but more and more came.............. Water had good color but high and Grandson and I got a couple bass and 3 goggle eye before we tired of the sightseers leaving wakes at half throttle just to turn around and come back by!!! Guess next trip will be in saltwater until more freshwater lakes are open to take some pressure off! ~ ~ <*{{{{<<

Fished Stowe this morning. Only brought 5 home, enough to to feed me and the wife. Let 3 shake off. Caught a 2 lb 6 oz female that was full of eggs and threw her back. Hope she makes it to the bank to lay out. Name: image.jpeg

Not everyone was at the Bone. All of the parking lots at the launches at Caney were full on Saturday.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
