We were having a crawfish boil Saturday, and I didn't want to miss an chance to get some fishing in, So saturday morning I went to Bundick's and fished from about 7 til 11. Fishing was real slow but I managed to catch 9 that I kept and released 5 or 6 smaller fish.. No particular color worked best. Caught them in about 8 fow bottom bouncing jigs.. Made it home a little after noon and my son already had the water boiling. We cooked 5 sacks and there was only a handful left over.. We decided we would head down to Rockefeller in the morning, so this morning, we headed down south. Cast netting for shrimp was pointless, we only caught a couple dozen. Couldn't get a fish to bite for anything but we did manage to keep almost 6 dozen crabs and boiled them when we got home..

Yes sir, Johnny. I would definitely call that a very good weekend. If you had only invited me for the crawfish boil, you would not of had any leftovers. LOL. Thanks for the report.

Nice Johnny! And yea cast netting for shrimp will be pointless until at least June. Every year someone tells me they are going down there to get on the shrimp at the end of May and every year I tell them it is too early. Well they never listen and then I always here they went and didn't catch any shrimp. Been doing it for years. Thanks for the report.
