    Default Took a little posting break, still having fun in Lakeland


    Was tired last night, slept right through a thunderstorm, wife said we lost power for about an hour. Didn't know this until I got home from fishing. lol

    5 crappies a couple of LM bass one 19 incher, a catfish. I brought home a couple shellcrackers ( I think?) wanted to give them a try have never ate them before.

    Great day Marv. But that one looks like a good ole southern Copperhead Bluegill. But they eat just fine.

    Thats why we call em Bream! covers all bases at once, cant go wrong.

    Shellcrackers will have an orange spot on their gill and are usually lighter in color. The orange spot is what makes the true distinction. They fight a little harder than the gills (experience) and get real big down there. Personally, I like the taste of the gills better. Nice mess!
