If you want to catch some crappies with shoulders on them, check out sardis lake in Mississippi. Me and my brother were down there this week and caught several over 2lbs, the size limit is 12 inches down there but of all the ones we caught we only had to measure one of them. Went to grenada also...not impressed, I do just as good here on Kentucky lake, they had numbers but not the constant huge size that sardis has.

2 of them were 2.5lbs, Thursday we were catching them in 5-3 feet of water at clear creek campground area on left hand side of the boat ramp.
Great catch, thanks for the post
If we did what was most important in life there would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
Thanks for the post im thinking of making a run to MS from MO..was going to greneda cause Ive never been but now you got me switching to Sardis! LOL! Can you tell me how you were rigged and was it jigs or minners! Thanks and by the way great job on them slabs!!
Either one you decide on take you some BIG minners. Fish straight hooks on some and jigs tipped with minners and let them tell you. I usually fish pony heads with plastic and tipped but always have one pole with straight hook and Minner. Some days the get finicky.

I use Capps and Coleman double minnow rigs 1/2 ounce, we only used medium sized minnow the big ones didn't seem to mind that they weren't large minnows.
Don't rule Grenada out .....when its right ....its right
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
