    Fished a little north of the park along levee (South Bayou Amy) picked up a good mess from 12:30-4 pm brown/chart tubes 10" on cypress knees.

    Very nice ! I've been wanting to go camping there, but never made it. When I go, I'm going to bring my kayak and do some fishing.

    I haven't been there in a few years. It was a very nice camp ground but a pain in the arse to get to.

    I live 15 minutes from 2 launches west side so that's my go to lake when the spawn is on. Early summer fishing is usually fair then gets tough as it heats up. One thing is there's some pigs in there. 1.5-2# fish are not uncommon!

    Good catch, do you catch often on brown and chartreuse? Was thinking about tying some in that pattern.

    Yes it's actually more of a green than chart but called chart, mr. crappie shadpole pumkin/chart... I caught some sacs about 4-5 years ago and they were full of baby crawfish, next day at bait store I noticed that color was almost identical since then, year round clear water or muddy like when I caught these fish, it's been a confidence bait 110%!

    NICE lil mess i grew up on that lake i wish it was still like the good old days. growing up in bayou portage was pretty rough but fishing was allways great .the spot i do good is right off the dogleg if u fish there u knw it and also try by marshfeild landing when they draining them crawfish pond i caught 80 right at mouth of the drains .
