Owning a bait shop is it's own bit of Purgatory. If it was mine and a customer chided me about "pet minnows", well, think I would have one less customer. Disease can wipe out your stock, weather can keep your customers away (even the good ones), and someone is always chirping why you don't open at 5 am and stay open till 9 pm. Then they want to tell you they can buy the latest whatizit bait for less through an on-line site. No thanks, I am happy someone else takes that stuff on. PS, I love Everhardts and feel fortunate to have them close by, and Tightwad C store, and the others.
