Jordan 2/20 & 2/21
I finally got to get out with my kayak this weekend. I spent from about 1030 til 530 near Ebenezer bridge with a friend. We caught maybe 4 total with 3 in the keeper size range. There were a lot of boats out there, so we tried to stay off to the side. I was having a hard time staying still, as I still have not gotten an anchor for this thing. The fish we did catch were sitting in 25-30 feet, and they were right on the bottom. My buddy was marking something on his screen that was at around 18 feet, but we couldn't tell what it was. Yesterday I spend some time fishing around the Bell's Church area. I don't have a locater on my rig yet, but I was letting the jig/minnow hit bottom, then reeling in the slack, so I should have been fishing about 3-4 feet off bottom. I left there with two more crappie (caught a bunch but wasn't counting). The two I left with were 11.5" and 12". It made for a good dinner. Not sure about this coming weekend, but if the lake is up still, and we get all this rain, it may make for a really rough weekend for fishing! Can't wait to get back out there! I'm loving this kayak stuff!

Thanks for the report. Saw a couple of kayak guys at the 64 bridge while passing through on Saturday. Was that you guys or someone else?

That was probably us. Two of us anyways... there was one other guy out there from what I saw. We hung out mostly on the rip rap, just south west of the bridge, and south of the ramps. I was kind of concerned about boat traffic tipping me over, since it was my first time out on a kayak, but for the most part, the boaters seemed to be pretty respectful of us.
