What kind of rods do you push with? I know you mentioned you use 3/4oz. weights before. Just trying to see if I can push with my poles.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

I have (8) 14ft. Crappie Maxx Signature Series rods. Just wanted to know if they can handle the weight and speed without having them doubled over. If the B'n'm BGJP'S can handle 3/4oz., then I know the crappie maxx will. Gonna try it on my next trip.

I'm not an expert on fishing rods but I have used the Crappie Max 12 foot and 8 foot rods for pushing and pulling. I've even used a 5 1/2 foot dock shooting rod rigged for pushing (with 1/2 oz) and caught fish on it. Recently, Jim and I have started using 14 foot Crappie Commander rods from Monk's. They are the ones with the green on them in the first picture. They work fine and I like the fact they are 2 piece rods which makes them easier to take down. I haven't found a rod yet that doesn't work. My favorites are B&N's 12 and 16 footers. By the way, in the summer we push with less weight. When I pull I mainly use 6 foot rods out of the back of the boat and 16's, 12's, 8's out of the side of the boat. Except for the 6 foot rods my pushing and pulling rods are the same thing. I hope this makes sense and helps you out. Good luck and thanks for reading the post.
