Nice catch! How deep were you fishing? I'm going next week and hope to find some good spots. We went yesterday but wasn't out there but for a little while.

Jim and I fished Lake Oconee today. We launched at Sugar Creek at 7:30 and started searching for fish. At 11:00, with only one fish in the cooler, we finally found some cooperative fish on the north end of the lake. The fish were stacked in a channel that was 20-23 deep. Jim pushed jigs out of the front of my boat while I long lined out the back. We quit fishing around 3:15 and kept 28 good fish. The fish in the pictures are both 13+ inches. The best fish producer was a Southern Pro curly tail wildcat color but we caught fish on about every color. The water temperature was 49 degrees when we started and rose to almost 51 degrees. The water was stained but not muddy.

Thanks Hobo. We haven't quit. Things keep coming up on the good fishing days. I also spent the last two months building cabinets for my shop and remodeling it. I'm trying to get caught up around the house because the fishing is about to get real good if the weather cooperates.
