My first guess is that it's legal
Unless they have a camera and tells them what fish are below their vessel

Sounds like he's got it all figured out haha forget 6 or 7 poles 25 yo yos are bound to put fish in the boat
Legal, 25 yo yos, rule doesn't say where they can't be attached to on some waters.
Im just glad he is hanging them off of his boat and not leaving them hanging from the trees. Im sure he follows the law and all but we have all seen alot of yoyo's hanging from trees with no ID and seem like they been there for years! But im all for "what ever is legal."

personally, if they are attached to a pontoon boat, They become rods. If the lake has a rod limit, he's over the limit and should get a ticket. If no rod limit, he's good to go

You may be right dondon. Moving vessel might make them become rods. Bet there will be a clarification law/rule soon
Them yoyo's are one dangerous thing. I tried using them years ago catfishing and if you don't watch you can get hooked in a heartbeat. I don't know if it is legal or not but we have enough laws and regulations without anymore to be added. Getting to be so many laws and regulations that if a Game Warden wanted to he could find some reason every time someone went out to just give them a ticket. If the limit on fish is say 30 it should not matter if he used 25 yoyo's. If a person is pulling 6 rods with crank baits(2 treble hooks with 3 points each = 6) they have 36 hook points in the water at one time. Like I said we don't need no more rules we already have enough. Now like Forrest Gump said "That's all I got to say about that".
Be safe and good luck fishing![]()
