Right now I would fish the rivers and bayous with jigs or shiners 6 to 10 inches deep along the banks, knees and trees.

I heard it is really muddy. Fish tight to the trees and fish by the inch around the trees. Take a cork and cut the top to make it flat so you can pop it. In muddy water I keep it moving. I pop it count to 3 then pop it again. Use these dark jigs like black and any color or use fire tiger or craw daddy colors. Its burnt and florescent orange and red mix.

Awesome.....thanks again for the help Saute... How about Lacassine Bayou? Heard it holds a decent amount of fish....Never fished it before though.
There isnt any fish there stay away....lol. JK I am going tomorrow. I will post tomorrow night on how I do.
Lol, I hear ya. Wouldn't even know where to launch over there.....Although I was just looking at maps.....looks like there is one not to far past the pool on 14.... is that a public launch?
yes on the west side is a gravel launch under the bridge. North of hayes east of hwy 101 there there is lorraine bridge park that is a parish launch with paved launch.
If I launch on 14 would u suggest heading north or south? And how is the water clarity off that way? Thanks again sir.
