    Crappie were biting on jigs but they were all small .Caught and released over 20 small from 6 to 9 inch range. Tried minnows later in the day and managed 8 nice slabs from 1 to 2lb range.Not much current were I was but Guntersville Dam was still wide open with water over the sidewalk.Moved back up river above the dam an hour before sunset for the best bite.The big crappie were caught 12 to 16 inches deep below the bobber.Best jig was Cajun cricket.
