Good job on a tough, cold day!

Fished Flint Creek today in the blistering cold wind from 11-3. Caught 7 keepers and 12 shorts. That's the most short fish I've caught on flint in years on one trip. Ended up catching them on the drop offs coming out of the flats and pockets. Water was just barely stained and pretty clear in some spots. The closer to the river the muddier it got. Fished under a cork anywhere from 3 1/2 ft to 7ft deep. Used BG monkey milk, bluegrass, and kiwi. Sure was cold but catching a few made it better.
Good job on a tough, cold day!
My hat off to you for just going.
Good job...I believe it was too cold for me. Were you up next to 67 or down toward Hartselle?
I put in at Hartselle and ran probably 3/4 of the way to 67. I always start at dinsmore slough and work my way back to the ramp.
Since you fish on Flint Creek thought I'd pose a question. Do you use a Depth Finder? I found a huge reading of fish between where the cable crosses and the Rail road bridge in about 20 feet of water. I couldn't get a bite for nothing in the world but they showed up big time on my finder?? But I wondered if it might have been catfish hugging the bottom?
Way to go! Glad to hear that the stream came back into shape.
