Some Crappie Fishing I Am! My buddy invited me to bring my boat to a place he has access too. I gladly took him up on the offer because we have fleeced them on a pretty regular basis this time of year. Beautiful cold day, everything seemed perfect, except for one thing! No bite! We tried everything and every depths begging for a bite. Ended up catching 4 real nice catfish on the 2nd hour of fishing but then nothing else until we r fishing back to the ramp, typically! We caught 2 crappie bang/bang! That caught our attention for another hour without another bite hahaha! Both crappie were really nice at least! Water temp was 48-50 degrees. We fished double minnow rigs in 3-20 fow trying to find SOMETHING! Before we started fishing we side scanned pretty much the entire lake and I never even found a ball of bait much less any fish. Very strange. So we just started hovering over known brush piles and hoping to get lucky. Never really got lucky but hope kept us out there the entire day. Tight lines!
