Mc, fish are funny in old river run. Don't get discouraged. Yesterday, 1st fish in 5 minutes, then tater chips for the next 3 hours, then 10 in an hour and I'll swear 5 of those were within the first 15 minutes and the other 4 in the last 15 minutes of the 4th hour. The fish just get active and just shut down for seemingly no reason. Just be patient, fish slow and use any color you want as long as it includes orange and chartreuse. Some days they whack em, some days they just don't bite, but most days they bite for an hour or so. You just have to be present to win. I can't tell you how many times I've gone and decided to leave and find out the next trip if I had just been there earlier or stayed later....

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I was sick of catching tater chips so I left him there as an example to the others.

Wannabe. I know how that goes.
I left work at 7 am one day. Stopped for minnows and to the Butla spillway/Elbow creek I went. I fished for 30 minutes changing depth until I caught 2 keepers. Not another bite so I said I'd leave at 11 am since I had to be at work that night. 10:58 they started biting, by 11:20 I had 21 so I left. I iced them down, showered and went to bed.
I carried them to work that night and filet them. Added ice to the cooler and went back after work. I caught 12 in 20 minutes and they shut off for more than 10 so I left.
When I went Sunday I went to Collins bait shop to grab some minnows and he told me that orange and chartreuse jigs were a good bet.
Orange and Chartreuse is always a winner at Grenada.
