May I have some long bamboo stalks? It's not for planting brush in water though. What tools are needed to cut them down? 1/2" to 1" diameter at root.
My first years of crappie fishing was done with cane/bamboo poles. Cut them in the fall and hang them upside down with a brick tied on the end to get them good and straight. After they are dried out, put a coat of varnish on them and line them up. Hook, split shot, cork and minnows that we caught in the creek. I got a Zebco 33 for my birthday when I was 12 and I thought that I was the richest kid in the county.![]()
Thumper you are dating your self talking about cane poles. I used them as a kid too. They works just fine.
Sam thanks for the picture I think that's just what the doctor ordered.
Them will work real good! I got to get started on some my self.
