Do you mean the Microlites? They're good rods.

The microlites were good to me before I upgraded.

I looked at bass pro, then I went online to walmart and bought 2 rods and 2 ultra lite reels from them. I liked them better than bass pro's.

okuma 6 ft. ul rods are tough to beat . great price , around 40 . I also have a fenwick rod that came from Dick's that was 50 ish . I have a microlite rod that is ok also but shipping deters me from going that route for a rod of this cost .

Cabela's has their Fish Eagle 50 rods on sale now for $45. Nice rods.

The Bass Pro Micro-Lite are my go-to rods. They are nice to use from the float tube on the strip mines where I fish.
Like so many things ,I think the price point has outgrown this basic rod . I would explore all options and handle the rods before making a choice .

I am partial to Berkely lightening rods..that being said mine (I have 5) are old..i do not know how a new model would compare to my oldies, but I would certainly take a good look YMMV
