It's all a scam committed by "the free!crowd". These people have figured out how to get everything "free!". They complain about everything and hope to be comped. It works about 50% of the time. Imagine getting 50% of all your stuff free!
Heck, once while on vacation I complained to the hotel and I got over $700 in comps even though I wasn't expecting anything.

If you do something charitable for someone expecting a thank you or something in return than that isn't a charitable act!!!! EB
.... everybody got "what they paid for", eventually. The complaint "brought here" was that the individuals in the truck that was in the drive thru lane decided to put their complaint ahead of the needs of those in line behind them. They wouldn't have gotten their order corrected any slower/faster by pulling forward and allowing the rest of the line to get their orders and go.

Charity had nothing to do with this scenario. Narcissistic victimhood "it's all about me and to heck with the inconvenience I cause others" was the factor being complained about.

I've had to wait for my order, standing inside or pulled forward out of the drive thru lane, at several different restaurants ... and it never occurred to me, at ANY time, to hold up the progress of others attempting to get their orders filled. In fact, if I'm having a moment of indecision, I'll wave people ahead of me (inside) ... and if there's a problem with my order (outside), I'll politely pull up and wait for it to be corrected and brought out to me. It's called being "civil" !!

    ... cp

lets put this into perspective .....for those of you that are NOT the wiser ......you act like that in a place serving food and i can assure you you got "EXTRAS" in your order when it comes back out adjusted to your liking . trust me those folks putting up with that kind of bla bla bla put a lil something "EXTRA" in it for him .
so YES there was Christmas spirit involved because he got a "gift" for sure from the folks at that Sonic
now lets move on to how to act in this situation . simply call the manager "AFTER" you leave ..the number is on the rec. explain the inconvenience created by whatever happened and how disappointed you were by the service and or quality or both . 99.9% of the time they will mail you enough comps. to cover the costs on your next visit .
its a sad thing when others have no respect for others . but in many cases those folks dont even respect themselves .
ALWAYS remember this ......kindness goes a long way toward inner peace .....and there ya have it
p.s. and in the end ,,,, i kinda wonder what "gift" he got to ingest .....

    Hey "D",
Calling 911 with someone like that is not a bad idea. May not change their attitude but could change their behavior.
If we did what was most important in life there would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles

Elkhunter, good idea. At the time I did not think of that. I just wanted him to go away. Selfish jerks don't care about anyone else.

How about those high school aged kids with the i.q. that starts with a decimal point that put glass packs on their underrated trucks and disturb the entire neighborhood.
Or those people that just stop their carts in the middle of the aisle at Walmart.
Somehow people think that they are the only ones in the entire world!
I guess that's why I hate people so much.
