Visiting with the Florida Crappie Club at Crescent Lake

I heard Wally Marshall was going to be at Crescent Lake for the Florida Crappie Club Classic, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. I had not seen Wally in a while, and I had not been to a Florida Crappie Club event. So I called Shuorc and we went on a road trip. There was an absolutely great turnout, with some very nice fish being caught. Lots of Crappie.com members in attendance as well. Here are some pics:

I did not attend the reception but I hear Darryl was the winner this day. Congrats, and great job to all that participated. It was good to finally meet Harold as well. I'm sure Harold (fishin813) will post the results here soon.

And here's the best part, when I picked up Shu, he handed me a gallon baggie of his home made Lebkuchen (German cookies/cake). Awesome stuff especially around the holidays. Brings back memories.

Boy what a day I had yesterday. Wifey signed us up to run a 5K in Leesburg in the morning, and I came in 3rd in my age group. That'll never happen again!

I ordered and wore that jersey just for that tournament..........came in 14th. Just could not get a few more bigger fish. Nice to meet you Slab.

I really enjoyed my first Crappie tournament, The weather conditions was perfect for the fisherman Lol. Im looking forward to fishing with the Florida Crappie Club again. The Crappie Hunter Killer.
