    Default Monroe 12/12 report

Was still up in air where I was going yesterday till my oldest son called and wanted to go to Monroe. Was waiting at the gate when they openedthe gate. Got a great sunrise heading across the ole girl. Mant boats out today, saw Brian and crew. The ole girl sure treated me well today. Boat loaded on trailer at 10:30 with 78 on clicker and 36 in the cooler to bring home. Had several females really showing good that got a free pass. Name: IMG_20151212_103114.jpg

Nice ones Mike, sounds like a busy mornin - I did not see ya out there but there were a lot of boats around.
Had a few stripers hook up too & got a few tangles, they were 10-12"
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

You were in front of the Enterprise ramp at the manatee markers headed west and I was about 100' southeast of ya headed south.

Did you fish the main channel or more shallow?

I pulled from manatee bouy at opp across the north manatee zone and out towards marina island. Best fish were in last stretch.

Probably not. I have a 18.5 Palm Beach and a yellow kayak. I rarely fish Monroe in the kayak. I am a bass fisherman at heart but I am really getting into spec fishing.

I think I have it set up pretty nice, at least for spider rigging. But I can make trolling happen too. I have two seats on the front, bottom machine on the trolling motor and the holders on each side. I'm figuring it out.
