    Default Deceiving DF screen shots

I went to Murray Friday with buddy, Harry, to fish the same spot that Uncle Remus and I caught perch last week. Weather was perfect, overcast with a slight chop on the water.
This is similar to the shots that Mark(EMC) posted last week, tons of fish and bait, none willing to bite our minnows or spoons. We did manage 3 nice perch and 1 lost crappie.
Just looking at the screen I figured we would load the boat. NOT!!

Yea it's sad isn't it Ray. I mean you get all excited thinking okay any minute my rod is going down and nothing! Boy, do I know the feeling. Thanks for the pics Ray.

If that was what you were riding over then you was DEFINITELY on the perch. Guess they just werent hungry but I've never seen that before (that many fish and NONE biting). Best thing to do is keep moving and looking for biting fish. Better luck next time.

Fished Murray for last 6weeks. Looks like the schools of striper we were on. Try herring with a few split shots. Couldn't even get it in the rod holder before we were hooked up. 4-6# fish. It took 6"-12" shad to catch the fish that were 8# and up. No lie, catching 8# striper on 12" shad. Those fish have been crazy aggressive. They just want something of size. Even the perch were eating the herring.

Well they were not interested in the little tuffies we were dangling in front of them. Last we we could not get a 2nd rod out before the 1st one went down. Got a couple of smaller stripers and cats to, but this time nothing. We are going to hit them again Wednesday. One of my buds just got a HDS7 like mine and he wants to go, so we'll see.
Good news is I got 7.9 ozs. of minnows left over from the 8 ozs. we bought Friday.

No, but I accidentally did that one time years ago and about went crazy until I realized it was showing 30 FOW and I was at the Lake Murray dam in about 100 FOW.

I have seen that before and experience it. I have no explanation for that.
