Man, I been waiting on you to post this. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day in your boat. I met Spiderman at the Talquin slabfest and we sorta informally decided we were gonna get together for a trip to Oconee, his home lake. I had never fished that lake and as a guy who usually fishes with my young boys I jump at the chance to fish with another "Crappie fisherman". He spent the day showing me places to fish and how he catches em there. A fella can't ask for any more than that. We had a blast. I'm guessing if you count little ones and trash fish, we caught close to 70 fish. Thanks again brother, you're a beast of a crappie fisherman and your hospitality is second to none. To me, this is what fishing is all about. I hope we can do it again.

When you get better papasage, come on up to Oconee. You won't have to bring anything but yourself. I can have an empty seat in the boat waiting on you.

Thanks Chad. Ill tell Quick hello for you. You know, if you long line, drop shot, shoot docks, push, or fish the way I do, all are productive ways to catch crappie at certain times of year. I would not say one is better than the other. All methods have there pros and cons, all have there place and time. As a crappie fisherman I support all methods that anyone chooses to use to catch crappie. I fish the way I do because of the areas I fish and it works for me. I would love for the crappie fisherman and women, (with the help of the moderators), to form a educational tab at the top of the forum page on the different methods of crappie fishing. Give the definition, how to do it, list pros and cons of the method, and the best time of year to use that method. Then let each individual find what works for them.
