It was dark, very dark at 5:30am as we drove the long highway...... Oh wait! that was another goober's story!!
here's the report.....
here's the pictures.....
Perfect picture...handsome goober, cigar, CdC hat, CdC shirt, respectable speck, and a billbob koozie
Lake Jessup got off to a good start and if the wind hadn't picked up I think it would have been a 3 star day. WT 73*....soldier creek and black hammock area.

I love it, except for stealing Phantom prose. You are in again. Now I recognized you.
That's a good size fish for Jessup, Mike, even has some color...thanks for giving her a try![]()
crappie down !
Didn't know there were Specks in Jessup , thanks for showing Me lol RR
Think I'm gonna go over there when spawn sets in and jig the banks where all the bullrushes/cane grows.
Have a friend that told me of a time in his youth, he and his father did that and loaded up on em ................

Jessup is overlooked a lot cause the fish don't seem to get as big as other places....don't know why.....they're fat and healthy....maybe it's the overpopulation of gators.....The soldier creek area runs 4 to 8' deep and no snags to worry about....would make great place to pull or push......the mouth of the creek looks like a great place to jig......best lake ever to get out of the wind also..... we only took a couple of poles and some minners and just flipped the banks etc. I'm sure if you hit the open water and covered some ground you'd get a limit easy......mostly 10 to 11+"...... I think my 1 1/2 star rating was a little unfair....it wasn't the lakes fault we didn't take enough equipment and the &*&%$ wind was howling!![]()
