Thread: Sat. Night fun.

It's been a busy day, helping the kids get caught up on math all day, but it's all good now:

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
Cold and drizzly wet.
Inside is quite delightful,
As the Christmas season is met.

A big pot of gumbo is cooking up hot,
The chicken and sausage smells right!
We're making hot chocolate in the crockpot,
To help us stay warm tonight.

The tree is put up and the lights are turned on,
The ornaments are getting unpacked.
The fireplace is going, with a Christmas song,
And the cats are both taking a nap.

Thanksgiving was fun and we all got a lift,
Food filled our tummies all around.
But we love to see Christmas and celebrate our gift,
For through Jesus our joys can abound.


This really is what's going on at my place tonight... gumbo is almost done....hot chocolate was a new recipe and good, but tasted like it had coconut in it. Cats are snoozing hard on their tree... lol And I'm breaking a sweat near the fireplace trying to hang ornaments. hahaha...Family memories!

Sounds like a great day, except for the fireplace. I was in shorts all day. Glad y'all had a good one.
