    Default Lake Verret?


    Heading out to Verret tomorrow wondering if anyones be around that area if the hows the water? Gonna try Sac-a-lait fishing there first time...if no bites then out to the main lake for catfish.

    I sure will give a report. I want to catch some Sac-a-Lait. I've struck out the last few times I went. But this will be my first verret trip for Sac-a-lait. I usually catch bluegills and catfish there.

    Hoo man! Lake Verret! Thats s place I aint thought about in a while. A coffee can full of catalpa worms and a cane pole is as good as life gets. Fill a #5 washtub with bream and catfish in no time! Sorry for the derail!

    Attackapas is sure fixed up nice, when I first went there in the mid 80's it was nothing like that. It is the only public landing where you can launch for free in the area. Did you try Willow Tree Canal?

    That is always my first stop......catch big bass & crappie there in the spawn......which is coming up soon.....
