Toledo Bend report

I feel I must have to report, so here it is. For us Southern boys, nice Fall colors:



The strata on this ridge is excellent, you can see the shale layered below the clay which is excellent:



Passed by another spot and saw these pretty blooming flowers:



Another spot, I saw all this Spanish Moss. Thought it cool.

I'll keep the report coming, because I would like a prize. Report today was visiting a Texas BBQ fix for me:



My man was being a real ham, showing off. He wanted me to take a picture of him slicing the brisket for me to go:



I got full before packing it up to go back, he kept giving me things to try. The serious char on the ribs are just right:



This fellas is how BBQ is done - pour the smoke to it and char it good. I told him I'll be bringing my Mississippi buddies next February again. He said he'll be ready. Sure enjoy chewing the fat with those boys. They're not politically correct by far.
