A year ago today my fishing partner and best friend passed away. My Daddy was the best. He taught me to fish. We loved fishing together. He was my best friend as much as he was my Daddy.
I had to stop fishing to care for him until his passing.
Today I honored his memory by going fishing. I took one of his fishing poles and caught some nice white perch with it along with a couple of my poles.
Got on the water around 10:00. Fished next to the Wild Life Club.
Wind 8 to 15 mph. Water stained. Not sure of the water temp.
Fished 20-24 fow. Caught 50 W.P., 1 yellow perch, and 1 bluegill. kept 35 for supper tomorrow night.
Not the best bite but I had a most wonderful time spending some quality time with my Daddy's memory and talking with him in spirit. He surely Helped me caught some fish today.
I sure do miss him being in the boat with me. I miss him everywhere. I can't figure out how to upload pictures from my cell phone on here. So sorry I don't have pics to share.

Glad you were able to go and had a good time. I too think of my father all the time which he passed in 1990. Reading your report made me think of when he would take me and my brothers rabbit hunting or fishing at my uncles land. Well it was my uncles brothers property and when we would go rabbit hunting after 10 min of walking my dad would say he was going to get his coffee. Yea right, we would get back at the car(a maverick) he would be sound asleep with a blanket. lol!! He was not much of an outdoorsman. He was more of a golfer and tennis player but tried really hard and took us anytime we wanted to go. Thanks for the post.
Thank you for sharing that heartfelt report. You in the contest.
Thank you guys for sharing with me.

What a wonderful way to honor your father and keep his fishing pole in action! I'm sure he's smiling looking down from above.
