hey, just dropping some info for yall. we will eat both nights at cabin #9, and let's shoot to bless the food around 715-730. this will give everyone an hour, or more, to get back, wash off the grime of the day, and clean up a tad and get to the cabin for supper. those that will be manning the fryers, you might wanna get to the cabin #9 by 630 or so. we always have lots of prepping to do, so anyone is welcome to come at any time and help get things ready. yall are welcome to come to cabin #9 at any point, this is where we tend to socialize and chew the fat.

on a different note, as we all know, we have a fish fry saturday night. we depend on everyone donating some of their catch (or all of it--green shiner) to the fish fry. here is the easiest way to do this. there is a fridge in cabin #9. we don't typically lock the door while we are fishing. if you have some fish to donate, put it in a big ziploc bag and just put it in the fridge, NOT THE FREEZER!!. we typically have plenty of fish, but we do like everyone to help out so just a few don't have to donate all their fish. LOL

God is good and we are gonna eat like kings!!

that'a whole lot cheaper than paper towels, and i think they do a better job anyway.

we can always use a bag of cornmeal. i know that there are a few coming that are gluten intolerant, and that fish fry mix has flour in it. so that would allow them to eat some fish.

    Scott,
I am going to bring a crock pot with homemade vegetable soup, crackers, and bowls for Friday night, and some baggies of homemade beef jerky for Saturday fishing snacks for those that would like some. I will bring a German Chocolate Tutrle Cake ( No turles will be harmed ) for Saturday night. Please let me know if there is any other needs, as we will be driving from West Monroe both days. Looking forward to meeting everyone and maybe catching a couple fish.

Folks, just an update. I think I've got all the posts caught up so far.

Southern Chuter and Cyberwolf, it’s a pretty mixed bag of goodies on this list. I know someone has brought salad before, and such...I don't see a huge number of side items on the list, so that's something to consider. Whatever you decide is fine. You know how it goes...we'll eat whatever shows up.

    1. LAFishNut - Plates, Onion rings for Saturday, maybe some homemade cashew brittle for snacking, chips/salsa.
    2. DocWaldo - butt bites, drinks, tags/sharpies, alum. pans, paper towels, gluten-free dessert, salt/pepper
    3. Shadow - shrimp and pulled pork
    4. RM George - fryer and oil, smoked pork ribs
    5. cyberwolf- banana cheesecake pudding and rum cakes
    6. Southern Chuter - sauce piquant/rice
    7. bflowers - brisket and baked beans, stove/oil/pots, hushpuppies, coffee and condiments, ice
    8. D - Fries and a dessert
    9. BigJohn….quail and a dessert
    10. Greenshiner – Fryer and oil, Zatarains fish batter, maybe smoked sausage
    11. Cajun Dave – some kind of casserole
    12. Mr. & Mrs. Luvtofish – Dessert, cole slaw for Sat, tartar sauce, spicy crackers
    14. Paw Paw Gene – Boudin balls, shrimp jambalaya
    15. Luvtofish – beef tips/rice, paper towels, tartar sauce
    16. Brandon – Cups, plasticware, papertowels, plates
    17. Magicman – award winning potato salad
    18. lahotwood – homemade vegetable soup w/crackers, beef jerky (yum), German chocolate turtle(less) cake.

Let me know if anyone else wants to be added to the list.
