Anyone been to brewer the past week or so, planning on a going Thursday.
By the Way, I'm new to this forum, and even newer to crappie fishing. But have been watching you guys posts. I really enjoy the info sharing and friendliness.
Thanks

Don't go to Conway unless your boat is well insured!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big fish and bigger stumps. I would consider going to Overcup or Atkins as a good choice. Both have great fishing and all boat lanes are clearly marked and have great bait shops at both locations. Both Overcup and Atkins are smaller bodies of water and they should be easier to locate fish on a new body of water or limited experience. HAVE FUN AND ITS ALL ABOUT THE THUMP!
Not familiar with Brewer and can't give you any advice, but good luck with your fishing, and welcome to c.com from Fayetteville.

Thanks guys, I'm very familiar with most of these lakes close by, just not familiar with the crappie in them. Lol. I'm a "stinking bass fisherman" who's trying learn to chase crappie. I'm going to brewer Thursday. Hoping to learn something. Thanks.
Being "new" to crappie fishing, fishing Brewer may be tough. I've heard great reports from there as of late, (two guys, double limits both trips last week) but they came from guys with lots of experience fishing Brewer for crappie. Anyhow, double minnow rigs over brushpiles has been the ticket if you decide you wanna give it a go. If you've got good electronics and know how to use the search tool up in the right hand corner of this forum you can probably get some brushpile coordinates to give you a few spots to begin. Good luck, welcome to C.Com.
Go to the Arkansas moderated forum for coordinates to all of the COE brush piles on Brewer.

I think you have to have ten posts to get in there.
