Well I have nothing to report caught 2 decent fish gave them away at the dock. Marked all kinds of fish on the sonar over timber and balls of bait fish as big as a truck but no luck. At least I got out of the house and on the water.

Thanks golf pro will give you a call. Saw your truck at the ramp, good looking set up. Me and the boys were in a old Lowe aluminum boat that my paw in law gave me before he passed away. I will run it until the bottom falls out means that much to me.

That's great! Keep the memories alive! Today is my dad's birthday. Taught me how to hunt and fish...fix stuff.... he passed suddenly at 61...never saw retirement..I was 19 years old at the time...out crappie fishing and they came to the lake and got me...he would have been 88 today. I still have some of his tools and old school camo I wear all the time!

Get yourself a mentor that does it. go fish with them! ask tons and tons of questions!..I got 3-4 people into it recently and they love it! pushing can be slow, methodical, even boring at times..Long lining is 95% what I do when the water temps allow.

There are alot...I mean alot more variables in long lining...jig weight, line size, rod set up, speed, color choices.... I went to it a few years ago guiding...no bait, boat traffic is a minor issue...not having to be real still in the boat "kids fishing", making them BITE! on reaction sometimes without having to dangle a minnow in their face! not missing many fish...rod loads up...that fish is hooked!

It's not he best all the time, but I have been pushing bait...little success...go to pulling same area...BAM BAM BAM>>>fish in the boat!

    I started out pushing...did it for years...started long lining....sure glad I did!

Golf pro I tried to sneak in the Red Ranger once but someone caught me and hit me in the head with a black jack. When I came to I was in Metter with a note pinned to my shirt that said if I ever tried to take his seat again I would wake up in Anchorage. It was singed with a C. I stay along way from the Red Ranger. Lol
