    Pete I'm no expert as I'm just learning to use my Sonar units, but I think that is probably a ball of baitfish.

    Agreed. But where theres bait there's predators. Prolly in a neg mood. Always good to find the bait fish though. Good pic.

    I'm no expert on fish finders, but as others have said I believe that is a school of bait fish. If you look on the color side there is a small grouping underneath the main formation. I would venture to say that smaller grouping would be the fish coming up to eat the bait.

    Also took this pic but still no bite... Where can a person learn to read and understand more on this? I was thinking this was bass on bottom? But I don't know...

    There are so many types of fish I don't try to tell. I just look for bait fish blobs and structure and if I catch I look for more spots like that on a given day. Don't hardly fish more than 15' of water.

    Pete those do look like fish near the bottom.

    For a better understanding go to the forum about the different units and interpreting what you see.

    Thanks for replies! I will use info that y'all have given me. This has been a great forum to learn from and with! I have read this forum for last three years till I finally had to join! Don't post much but do read often! Y'all are a great group and I thank everyone!
